The concept behind a new restaurant boiled down to "Warehouse-District-Vibe, meets Small-Town-Main-Street, meets Old-Fashioned-from-Scratch-Cooking." The brand had to evoke the vibe of a hip, metropolitan eatery, without seeming like an alien invader in the restaurant's quiet town of 3,700 just outside the metro area. It also had to capture just the right tone that reflected the multiple aspects of the chef-owner's vision. The Wilder Scratch Kitchen brand combines an elegant, on-trend serif typography with traditional, woodcut illustrations to create a balance of cosmopolitan and quaint.
